Jordan has spent the last decade building recruiting engines across the full arc of company stage — from pre-PMF seed startups to Fortune 500 operators. He joined a16z after leading talent at multiple portfolio companies, where he learned that the best hires come from narrow, obsessive systems — not broad nets.
At a16z he works with founders on the hard end of hiring: the first engineer, the first GTM leader, the re-org after Series B. He believes the best talent pages are the ones founders actually ship — not the ones marketers polish for six weeks.
He's obsessed with the idea that a portfolio should take ten minutes, not ten hours. Which is why he's building readme.speedrun in his spare time.
